Empty offices, automatic email replies and meetings postponed until September. Today, however, the business world\u2014and the exhibition industry in particular\u2014is changing its pace. More and more, summer is becoming the ideal time to meet, travel and build professional relationships in a different way: less hectic, yet often more effective. It is no coincidence that business travel continues to grow even during the hottest months. According to recent analyses, summer business trips have increased by <strong>48.3%<\/strong> over the past year, confirming that July and August are no longer seen as &#8220;quiet&#8221; months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, the international trade fair calendar remains active throughout the summer, with events taking place across Europe, Asia and the United States in industries ranging from technology and design to energy and manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Less Quantity, More Quality<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The change is not only about the number of business trips, but above all about their purpose. According to the Global Business Travel Association, business travel in Europe is increasingly shifting towards more intentional trips: fewer short journeys and more high-value, relationship-driven meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this context, trade fairs and live events continue to play a central role. More than 50% of industry professionals consider conferences and exhibitions difficult to replace with virtual platforms. Paradoxically, summer creates the ideal conditions for more authentic networking. A slower pace, lighter schedules and less crowded cities encourage more informal meetings and more meaningful conversations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Season of New Ideas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is another interesting aspect to consider: August is often the time when companies and professionals begin shaping the projects that will define the months ahead. Autumn trade fairs are being prepared, businesses refine their strategies, and professionals observe emerging trends and market changes with greater perspective, away from the pressures of everyday routines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps this is the most significant transformation of today&#8217;s exhibition industry: trade fairs are no longer simply places to showcase products or technologies, but environments where genuine connections are created.
